- Method of determining bushing size, is to measure the neck wall thickness of the cartridge cases with a ball type or tubing micrometer. Double this measurement and add the bullet diameter to calculate the neck diameter of a loaded cartridge. As above, subtract 0.001" from this figure to determine bushing size.
Redding Type S Bushing Neck Sizer Die Sets include a Type S Neck Sizing Die, Body Die and Bullet Seater Die. The sizing die precisely resizes case necks, using an interchangeable bushing. The adjustable decapping rod allows positioning of the bushing to resize only a portion of the neck length if desired. Body Dies are designed to full length resize the case body and bump the shoulder position for proper chambering without disturbing the case neck. They are made without internal parts and intended for use only to resize cases which have become increasingly difficult to chamber after repeated firing and neck sizing.
The seating die seats and crimps the bullet if required.
